Lessons
Since 2006, I've taught students ranging from 5 years old to parents who’ve sent their kids to college and finally have time to try guitar.
I’ve taught at The Guitar House Workshop in Columbus, OH; Allegro School of Music in Tucson, AZ; and the Ballard Academy of Music and Dance in Seattle. I currently offer private lessons in my home studio.
The most important thing for learning guitar is that the student enjoys the process, so I’m always flexible with my approach and will tailor lessons according to each student’s goals and learning styles.
For the serious minded student who really wants to excel at guitar, I like to take a comprehensive approach to learning guitar, building from the ground up with a basic understanding of how music works. This approach includes working through books and learning how to read music, but knowing these fundamentals makes it so much easier to branch out and learn new songs and styles.
Whether you’re a beginner who’s always wanted to play, or a more advanced player who’s looking to broaden their range of style or further hone their technique, I can help you achieve your goals.
